Hodyl brings forward the thinking that’s needed to solve complex urban problems—grounded, bold and precise.

Leanne advises those shaping our cities—government, policymakers, developers, designers, planners and community organisations. She does this in three ways:

As a trusted advisor

Providing advice based on expertise developed over decades of strategic thinking and implementation of urban projects. This includes working directly with organisational leaders and teams to advise on strategic solutions to their urban challenges, peer reviews and preparation of expert evidence. Key areas of expertise include:

  • Urban Strategy
  • Design Governance & Policy
  • Urban Design

Through project definition and leadership

Working independently or as project director of multi-disciplinary project teams. Leanne works across all project stages, including defining the problem, designing effective project methods to deliver a solution, undertaking urban research, stakeholder engagement, and synthesising creative thinking, complex technical knowledge and diverse perspectives into compelling and engaging strategies, policy, research and plans.

Through collaborative engagement and stakeholder facilitation

Designing and facilitating internal and external multi-stakeholder conversations towards the creation of collective strategies and solutions to complex urban problems.
